How many of you are searching for that Mompreneurs’ Success achievement? Being a mompreneur means embracing the beautiful chaos of growing a business while raising a family. My journey started at the kitchen table, often with a baby on my lap and a laptop within reach. Like many women, I wear a lot of hats: mom, wife, coach, business owner. And yes, some days feel like a juggling act, but with a few simple strategies, you can find balance and build a business you love.
The Real Start of My Business
When my first child was born, I knew the traditional 9-to-5 world no longer fit my life. I craved flexibility, freedom, and the chance to use my creativity. But I also wanted to be fully present for school pickups, soccer games, and bedtime stories. That’s when my journey as a mompreneur truly began.
Starting wasn’t easy, but I was focused on becoming one of the mompreneurs’ success stories. Between piles of laundry and client emails, I often felt overwhelmed. Yet, I knew this path was worth it. I wasn’t just building a business but a life on my terms.
Finding Your Rhythm
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that routine brings peace. Every Sunday night, I sit down with my planner and map out the week ahead. I schedule time blocks for work, family, and even rest (yes, that’s allowed!).
For example, I work during my kids’ school hours and shut my laptop down when they get home. I might squeeze in 30 minutes of emails while they do homework, but I fiercely protect our family time.
Setting boundaries is key to maintaining your energy and joy. Remember, your business should support your life, not take it over.
Use the Tools That Work for You
There are so many simple tools that can help manage your time. I swear by calendar reminders, project apps like Trello, and even voice memos when I’m walking or driving. These tools keep your ideas organized without overwhelming you.
Also, be kind to yourself. You don’t need to do everything in one day. Progress matters more than perfection.
Mompreneurs' Success ~ Support Makes a Difference
Don’t try to build your business alone. Whether it’s asking your partner for help with the kids or joining a small business support group, connection is everything. I’ve made some of my best business breakthroughs while chatting with other moms at the playground.
You might be surprised how much wisdom is shared in between swings and snack breaks.
Stay Inspired
There will be days when it all feels too much—that’s normal. On those days, I remind myself why I started. I look at my kids and think about the freedom I’m modeling for them. I think about the women I serve and the lives they have changed through my work.
You are doing something incredible. You’re not just a business owner. You are creating something bold and beautiful, even if it’s built during nap time and late-night work sessions.
If you’re starting out, know this: being a mompreneur is possible. With grace, a plan, and support, you can grow a business and raise a happy family. Here’s to mompreneurs’ success!
